I left my mountain home in the very Southwestern corner of Virginia to attend college in Richmond  and began my  development as an artisan. I grew up "making things", but in art school foundation, I learned techniques which would stay with me throughout life.  Although my major was Interior Design, I soon learned  that I was adept at working with metals.  Allan Eastman taught me the bench skills  which after years of persuing a family, a career in Interior Design and restoration of historic houses, have now re-emerged and I am doing what I really love, .......that is,  bending, pounding and shaping metal, and integrating with that, the lore of precious gemstones - making Jewelry!!   I'm happiest creating the artisan, style, Indian inspired, Southwestern casual, yet elegant combinations of turquoise, lapiz, coral, bone, silver...You'll find most of my work tends toward the hefty, not delicate, chunky, bold, fun.
